Structural Engineer (4-10 yrs exp)
Full-time position in Carbondale, Colorado
(Roaring Fork Valley - Glenwood Springs to Aspen)
$75,000 - $110,000 annual salary + excellent benefits & flexibility

Base Qualifications:
B.S. and/or M.S. in Architectural, Civil or Structural Engineering
Minimum of EIT certification, along with or working towards a Colorado PE/SE license
4-10 years of experience as a structural engineer designing wood, steel, concrete, masonry & other materials
2+ years of experience as a structural engineer on building projects
Expertise in structural engineering principles & applicable building/design codes
Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA, Dlubal, Enercalc, etc
Competency w/ Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit &/or Archicad, or desire to learn & utilize the basics to optimize production
Structural Engineer Responsibilities:
Design building, retaining & unique structures of wood, steel, concrete, masonry, glass & other materials
Develop highly coordinated, efficient, constructable structural designs
Continually learn & apply structural engineering principles & applicable building/design codes
Continually learn, develop and integrate sustainable structural design practices to reduce the carbon footprint of each project
Produce clear, concise structural drawings and calculations
Collaborate effectively, internally & externally
Provide excellent construction administration, including field observations & formal reports
Foster strong relationships with our community, clients, architects, contractors, fabricators, engineers & building departments
Be ethical, professional, proactive & thoughtful

Additional Experience of Interest (not required):
Historic structures
Forensic assessment & engineering
Advanced BIM experience
Advanced knowledge of industry applicable technology
PE/SE licenses in additional states
Project/client management, including contracts & invoicing
